I would introduce myself.

I have started this blog, because in my 45 years in business and service, I have worked extensively with business, and I see good businesses struggle to survive and also good businesses having difficulty in growing. In general most of us start our business because we are very good at what we do, not because we thought we were a good manager and decided to start a business. This strategy is great for starting a business, because we can control all aspect of the business, as we generally are very hands on with our management. However, as the business grows, this hands on approach can be difficult to manage effectivly and we need to start delegating responsibility.

In addition to operational management, we quite often overlook the strategic aspect of business planning and the information required to assess the market place, our business resources and how efficiently we use these resources. The concept of the blog is to provide comments on varying aspects of strategic planning and operational information gathering tools and techniques. Hopefully the information will be beneficial for business.
